With its seemingly random array of lines and dots, the Nanimarquina Rabari 2 Rug offers an almost mathematical accent for modern interiors. This unusual rug is one of a series inspired by tribal folk embroidery in India. Using New Zealand wool, the rug is hand knotted and hand woven using the traditional Sumak technique. The result presents a study in embroidery techniques in progress, as they emerge over time during the weaving process.
