The Nanimarquina Blend Rug uses the basic principles of color theory to play on the visual perception of color. Solid blocks of color interact with blocks of color comprised of duo-toned stripes, which merge into one color by the viewer's eye. Although the entire piece only uses 5 different colors, the intelligent composition and grouping of colors tricks the viewer into seeing a range of different tones.
