The constant movement, frenetic energy and dynamism of the city, embodied by the Chinese character Jie, inspired the eclectic pattern of the Nanimarquina Jie Rug. The rug is hand tufted and carved out of new wool into a number of different shapes and pile heights. The varied pattern and saturated ceramic colors evoke tiled Shanghai streets.
