Designer Omer Arbel makes pieces that trigger the senses, while simultaneously developing an atmosphere of wonder and delight. Arbel's design approach makes it clear why the 84.7 Multi-Light Pendant from Bocci feels alive, streaming from the ceiling as levitating orbs with unbound character. The uniqueness of each sphere is created by the hand of master glassblowers. A fine copper mesh is draped over a white glass moil, then dunked into a pool of molten glass. Blown gently, billowing particles form through the mesh, encased in a textured glass sphere. Soft light mesmerizes as it encompasses the piece, silhouetting the fine details scattered throughout.
