Designed by Space Copenhagen, a design studio collaboration of Signe Bindslev Henriksen and Peter Bundgaard Rützou, it incorporates their experience in multiple mediums and design philosophy of balancing opposites. The lamp gets its name from the juxtaposition of a robust cylindrical base with a single socket and the light, airy drum shade that floats above it, easing excess glare into a warm glow that reflects across the fixture’s smooth base below.
