Designed in 1948, the Gubi lighting Grasshopper Table Lamp clearly defines the mid-century modern style that emerged out of California at that time. Designed by Greta Grossman, the Grasshopper embodies the industrial and functional requirements heralded by European Modernism, but offers a more toned down and refined version that could comfortably fit in chic residences. The smooth aluminum and brass components are inspired by organic forms and come together in an adjustable fixture that creates ideal task lighting.
