Icon Eva Zeisel’s brings her natural, curve-filled aesthetic from the world of ceramics to the tradition of blown glass making in this sculptural design. The Spring Mini Pendant Light from Leucos Lighting visualizes the season in a delightful form that subtly reflects the themes of life. Zeisel’s work explores the makeup of the natural world and the relationships we share as humans. Her storied 90-year career put her at the top of the world of ceramic arts, creating pieces that reflected a “playful search for beauty.” Leucos’s master artisans offered their hand to bring the designs of Zeisel to the realm of lighting and glassmaking. The artisans translate the flow of curves set out by Zeisel using a Murano glass blowing technique called “incamiciato,” Italian for “layered.” The bulb suspended inside turns on to create a seductive ambient glow that reflects spring’s feeling of renewal.
