A halo of light shaped with natural material. The Oh! Line LED Chandelier from LZF triggers a jolt of surprise as it seemingly floats in the air, distributing an inspiring, wood-filtered glow. The piece is designed by Marivi Calvo & Burkhard Dämmer, two creatives sharing an approach for balancing functionality with aesthetics. As co-founder of the primarily wood-based LZF, Marivi Calvo tells of the sustainable and light diffusing properties of the organic material. The piece uses wood as a fine veneer, shaping it into a sweeping ring form. The natural wood grain brings a soothing texture that's easy to appreciate with the lights on or off. Capped with a diffuser plate at the base, cutting-edge LEDs lining the inside generate a warm, uniform glow that tapers gently through the opaque wood and diffuser.
