The Drape Chandelier by SkLO is a simple yet sophisticated display of beautiful, handblown Czech glass pieces. Combining their backgrounds, designer team Karen Gilbert and husband Paul Pavlak capture their philosophy to focus on craft and the use of honest materials with this piece. A series of fabric wrapped cords descend from a single canopy and drape through a wide, brass ring to equally space a set of spherical glass shades from one another. Each glass piece has a unique, double-dipped, fire-polished, open mouth that shows where it was broken away from the glassblower’s pipe during the creation process, lending an artful touch to this stunning piece.
